April Font Challenge @ GP

April 11, 2010 7:04 pm

Finally!!! I have finished my lay out for the April Font Challenge at the Gotta Pixel forum. This month we used the Marcelle font. I found this gorgeous photo by benipop at a free stock exchange site and decided to use it for this challenge. I used the Kisses from Heaven kit by Armina Designs. Everyone who enters the challenge and meets the requierments gets a $3 coupon to the store of Litabell Designs. Pretty sweet!!!

Technique Challenge 1

The lovely MissErin from Erin’s Dreams has an awesome new challenge at the Scrapable Forum. First of all, even if you don’t want to participate I suggest you check it out anyway, because you could learn a thing or two. She posts a tutorial about a technique and the challenge is to make a lay out using the technique you’ve learned. Pretty sweet!

I have never followed any guidelines so it’s great to actually learn some. Erin explains two types of compositions; triangles and rule of thirds. To read the tutorial and check out the challenge click here.

This is the lay out that I have entered. I used the Very Cherry kit by Captivated Visions.

JennCK has a great template challenge at the Scrapable Forum. You get to download her Celebration template for free and it’s up to us to come up with a great lay out. At the end of the month, she and her creative team will pick three people who win a coupon to her store. Pretty sweet!

Here’s my entry. I used the kit Loveable by Crisdam Designs.

April Grab Bag Challenge

April 3, 2010 2:27 pm

One of the challenges at the Gotta Pixel forum I like to participate in is the Grab Bag Challenge.

This time we went on a roadtrip and had to pick 5 items to take with us on that roadtrip. I picked; a camera, credit card, first aid kid, snack and water. Every item that you pick comes with a requierment for your lay out. My requierments were; at least two photos, at least one string, something red, at least one insect of some kind or bird and something blue. It doesn’t matter what your lay out is about as long as you meet the set requierments. Lots of fun!!

This is the lay out that I came up with!

Scrapable Template Challenge 26/03

Woot woot!!! Today I entered my first challenge at the awesome Scrapable Forum; the template challenge of March 26. I was so excited to play with Brandy’s wonderful template. Already so many beautiful lay outs had been made with it so I was excited to be able to play with the template as well.

I am still in the ’scrapping my nephew’s birthday pictures’ mood so you don’t have to guess who’s in the pictures. I used the wonderful kit  ‘Growing up Boy’ by Valarie Ostrom. Here is what I came up with…
